Bangkok is the host city for a major international goalball competition at the end of June.

Hosted by the Sports Association for the Blind of Thailand and the ASEAN Goalball Federation, the 2016 Asia & Oceania Invitational Goalball Competition will take place in the Thai capital from June 30th until July 5th.

The tournament is open to a maximum of eight men's teams and four women's teams. Teams from other regions may also participate.
